ALA was fun!

American Library Association convention was fun! We had a wonderful time and met so many interesting people! In our stand we were showing our exclusive projects and gave away our flyers and catalogs. For those who did not know, we are the exclusive seller of the first three Dr.Seuss' books in Russian, and an official distributor of the guide book Hello, America!
Exhibits were both fun and useful. It took us three days to see all of the booths and to collect catalogs and samples.
Wondering around the exhibit halls, we encountered many amazing vendors with with great products, including those fascinating pieces of library equipment that can accept a book and then, after scanning it, deliver it to the specific bin, or super fast big scanners that can digitize book/album pages for papers and presentations!
In addition to the publishers and sellers, many book authors attend ALA. They give presentations and interviews, and sign books. We have met an extraordinary children's book author, Robert Forbes, who was presenting his new book called Let's Have a Bite! It is a collection of poems for children over 7 years old and it is coming out this Fall at the Overlook Press publisher.
Although this book is not yet available to the public, we got a chance to read it and can tell that is going to be a big hit!

To be continued.
